Opportunities

Here are some ways we serve foster families and children in care.

It’s our hope to see the need of foster families and be able to meet it. Currently we have things in place to help with ongoing nights out, care kits, and clothing. As more needs arise its our hope that this group will be able to provide for the individual and collective needs of foster families.

CARE KITS

HELPING THE COMMUNITY

We provide Care Kits to our new incoming foster children ages birth to 18.

CLOTHES DONATION DROP-OFF

ONE STEP AT A TIME

At Tuscaloosa County Foster and Adoptive Parent Association, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing this issue. We want to make sure all kids in care have clothes and shoes to wear as soon as they come into care. If you would like to donate to our clothes closet, please contact us.

PARENT’S NIGHT OUT

Parent’s Night Out is a way to bless foster families with a night out for foster parents and fun night for the kids. We also host training meetings as a way to equip foster families, provide a free meal and babysitting, and allow foster parents to continue to gain CEUs.

When we first became a foster family in Tuscaloosa, we didn’t know many other foster families. Getting connected has allowed us to meet others in our same situation while also helping to meet practical needs.
